Randles & Splittgerber, LLP congratulates Jonathan Hill for graduating from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Academy (“BLA”).
In November 2016, Jon and twenty-four of the finest young lawyers in the greater Kansas City area graduated from the BLA, Class of 2016.
“The seven-month BLA program was an incredible experience for me,” Jon said. “I met some wonderful people in the program, including many amazing and experienced judges and attorneys in the Kansas City legal community. Plus, it was rewarding and fun.”
Jon learned about many aspects of leadership from KCMBA’s Past Presidents and several local judges. He spent time at the Charles Evans Whittaker Courthouse learning about iconic cases, spent a day at the KCPD Academy where he heard amazing stories about the Westside CAN Center and participated in the Shoot/Don’t Shoot simulator (he shot; he almost made it), and completed a group project – a brochure to assist Veterans and their legal issues though Military Matters, a front-line provider of legal and other support services for Kansas City area veterans and active duty military personnel.
The BLA program is merely a beginning. Jon plans to get more involved in the Kansas City, Missouri legal and special needs communities in the year ahead.
